CASSC is a statewide organization that addresses the issues of programming, service personnel, administration and funding unique to professionals in the older adult service field. According to the California Department of Aging, there are over 1,000 senior service centers in the State of California. These centers are governed by a variety of organizations ranging from public recreation to private non-profits. Their common thread is the focus on providing comprehensive, coordinated and quality services to older Californians.
The 2011 annual CASSC Conference has come to a close. Through the years, the CASSC conference has garnered a reputation for targeting the concerns of today's older adults, while planning for those of the future. CASSC has provided a voice for our aging population throughout California. The CASSC conference convenes each fall to maximize communication, learning and networking among senior service professionals. Conference presentations will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield. Conference topics typically focus on the challenging hands-on issues which face senior center staff members daily, as well as planning for future trends.
